Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Visionaries of the Year 2023
Scott Gegerson, of Truvium Wealth, was nominated by the Leukemia Lymphoma Society to participate in their Visionaries of the Year campaign, a ten-week national fundraising competition broken up into regions. For the Long Island Metro region, there were 13 teams competing with the goal to raise as much money as possible to fight blood cancer. Scott did this in memory of both of his parents who passed from different forms of blood cancer within 4 years of each other.
The campaign ended June 6th, 2023 with Scott and his team, Team Strength and Service, coming in as the runners-up, raising a total of $63,558 for the fight against blood cancers!

On August 11th , 2022, Truvium Wealth participated in the 3rd annual Love for Laraine Tennis Outing benefitting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and The Mary Ruchalski Foundation.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is a global leader in the fight against cancer. They have raised $1.3 billion to date for cutting edge research and advanced cures for Leukemia and Lymphoma. The Mary Ruchalski Foundation raises funds for pediatric cancer research and supports families who have a child undergoing treatment.
This meaningful event was held in the loving memory of Laraine and Andrew Gegerson, who both lost their battles with blood cancer. Thank you to Eric Morales and the Atlantic Beach Tennis and Pickleball Center, who graciously donated their courts and clubhouse to host us this year. Special thank you to Lisa Guerriero, who did an amazing job organizing the outing. We were able to raise over $8,000 to benefit both charities. We are so appreciative to everyone who participated and are so grateful for all your support.

On September 12, 2022, Mary Cusumano from our Truvium team and her husband Michael participated in the 2 rd annual End of Summer Party to benefit The Brotherhood for the Fallen, Suffolk County chapter.
The Suffolk County Chapter of the Brotherhood for the Fallen was organized in an effort to show respect, honor, and support for fallen heroes throughout our country. Nationwide their members attend, in uniform, the funerals of Police Officers killed in the performance of their duties and present the family of the fallen with a monetary donation to help supplement income during the painful and chaotic time following each tragedy.
Thank you to The Vanderbilt Team of Compass for sponsoring and for Salt Shack in Babylon for hosting, along with the over 200 others who attended, sponsored and donated – over $11,500 was raised in total! It is a core part of our mission at Truvium to give back to our community and those in need, and we were proud to attend and donate to this event.

On May 11th , 2021, Truvium Wealth supported The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society CT Westchester Chapter and Christopher A Berlow’s goal of raising over $1,000,000 in the Westchester Hudson Valley region. Blood cancer has had a profound impact on Scott Gegerson over the last 13 years, having lost both parents to the disease. This is why Scott, and the rest of the team at Truvium Wealth, are always looking for more opportunities to spread awareness and raise donations.
